About Aegea
A small team, six houses, one standard
We started Aegea in 2016 in a two-room office above the harbour in Naousa, Paros, after too many summers watching good houses lose their character to anonymous listings.

Our approach
Fewer houses, known properly.
We could list a hundred villas. We list six, because six is the number we can know well enough to answer any question about them: which room catches the morning sun, where the nearest pharmacy is, how long the walk to dinner really takes.
Booking directly with us means no marketplace sits between you and the house. You pay no service fee, the owner keeps more of the rate, and the people you speak to before you travel are the people who meet you on arrival.
We are a team of seven, based on Paros all year, with partners on Mykonos, Santorini and Corfu who look after guests on the ground.
How we choose
What a house has to pass
Two nights in every house
Before a villa joins the collection, two of us stay in it. We cook in the kitchen, sleep in every bedroom and swim at the nearest beach.
Measured, not guessed
We time the drive to the beach and the port, count the steps, test the Wi-Fi and the water pressure, and write down what we find.
Owners we know
We work with eleven owners across four islands, and we turn down more houses than we take. Most are family homes, kept with real care.
Back every spring
Each April we revisit every house before the season starts, check the pool, the linen and the air conditioning, and update the photographs.
Guest notes
What guests tell us
Shared with permission and printed as written. First names only, at our guests' request.
We'd booked through a big platform before and spent the week guessing. This time we had a number that answered, a list of tavernas near the house, and a pool that really was eighteen metres.
They told us to leave for Oia at ten past seven. We did, and had the castle wall almost to ourselves. A small thing, but typical of the whole stay.
Ten of us, two courtyards and never a queue for the shower. The wood oven did pizza three nights running and nobody complained.
The cove is exactly as described: rocks, not sand, and completely empty at eight in the morning. The children still talk about the octopus.
Sixty-four steps, as promised, and a porter waiting with our bags. Breakfast on the terrace looking at Skaros was the best hour of the trip.
Grandparents, two toddlers and two teenagers under one roof, and it worked. The shallow end and the walk down to Agni made every day easy.
